I'm a visual storyteller, branding designer, detail-centric person, and a bohemian at heart. I strive to create thoughtful, user-driven designs that will showcase a client's identity and share their story. As a user interface designer, I build seamless, intuitive web and mobile experiences. My first love is illustration and I enjoy creating original characters and designs for both print and digital media.
Dana is a quarterly print magazine that celebrates creative lives and the gifts they bring to the community. The mission of Dana magazine is to showcase the talents and stories of passionate creators, entrepreneurs, and artists, and inspire readers to "nurture creative, generous lives".
The creation of the magazine began with designing a style board, collecting content, and building a flat plan. Dana magazine contains some art directed photography, showcasing artists in their studios and residence. The use of engaging imagery, a light sans serif paired with classic type, and clean white space creates a magazine that is both genuine and inviting.
Earful is an app targeted to hard-of-hearing teens and children, giving the wearer the power to control and customize their wireless hearing aids with their smart phone. Using GPS tracking, Earful gives users the ability to preset the volume, background noise, voice, and proximity levels of their Earful hearing aids based on their location. The result is hearing aids that adjust automatically without requiring the wearer to interfere.
Earful's purpose is to create a simple, intuitive experience that "enhances the everyday" for the wearer. Taking both the needs of their users and their market, Earful's brand is both youthful and inviting, while maintaining a trustworthy and dependable foundation as a reliable medical device.
Prints in the Snow is a hard cover picture book that encourages young readers to explore the forest by introducing basic wildlife identification skills. The story follows a family of foxes as they wander through the woods, finding different animal signs along the way. Their journey is an engaging blend of science and storytelling.
The mission of the book was to portray animals and landscapes in a realistic way that would draw readers into their world without anthropomorphizing them. With full page illustrations and inviting, simple narration, the book welcomes readers to explore and learn.
