Kelty is a graphic designer who uses her background in marketing to effectively bring together the worlds of design and business. She enjoys producing bright designs that are driven by research and user needs, while being sensitive to priorities and deadlines. She works well both independently and on a team and will bring an optimistic attitude to every project. When not working or in class, you can find her outside on her longboard.
This project is a complete branding and promotions package for a roadside farmstand. The aesthetic of the brand was created by merging a simple homemade look with bold, modern type.
The promotional materials are designed to reinforce the brand character and can be used in conjunction with the products being sold. These would be used to create brand awareness within the community after the initial transaction has been made.

This is an app specifically designed for deaf and hard-of-hearing teens. It is designed so users can control their hearing device directly from their smart phone. Through this app, users can connect to BlueTooth devices to stream to their device and use geolocation tags to automatically adjust the settings based on where they are.
To determine the functionality we were going to include, we started by researching apps that use similar technology. We then conducted interviews at the Northwest School for Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Children about what functionality may not be available in the market currently. We were able to gain valuable insight into what technology currently works and what technology is still absent from apps of this kind.
These hand lettering projects include a sketchbook, a series of post cards, and a package design. The sketchbook explored type interaction, mixed type styles, and was completed entirely on the page. The postcards were first sketched on paper, then digitized, then edited and rendered digitally. The lettering and pattern on the package design were created entirely in a digital environment.
