This responsive web magazine was designed for the modern feminist following the recent movement, #idontneedfeminism. What does feminism mean to the next generation of men and women?
My solution was a zine-inspired, tongue-in-cheek magazine encouraging a raw and down-to-earth discussion on feminism. It poses serious questions in an unserious way. The name "FBomb" is inspired by the idea that feminism has become a dirty word.
Another feature of the website is that it focuses on a different country every month. The future of feminism is really global feminism. FBomb offers a glimpse into the daily life of different cultures but through an artist's lens.
For Capitol Hill, the Co-op is the provider of choice natural and organic products that build a sustainable community.
Our logo is an abstract interpretation of an apple sliced down the equator. This represents the Central Co-op as the core of its community and the idea of many parts coming together to form a larger whole.
We kept the color palette relatively simple, using mostly red, white, and black to convey a straightforward and bold message. We also handmade a library of textures to use with the logo such as watercolor textures and a stamp made from an apple.
LGBTQ teens have a need for a secure social network, not only for socializing with peers in the LGBTQ community, but also as a trusted resource to reach out to adults.
Our solution was a social media app targeted to youth ages 13-22, that requires minimal information to set up an account. We chose a discussion-forum model and focused on the balance between privacy and self-expression.
Threads are organized by predetermined hashtags so users can easily find similar discussions. Other features include the ability to follow people or groups that are relevant to the user and allows users to easily block followers. There is also an "Ask an Expert" section that is clearly differentiated from personal messaging so the user can feel secure.
